Thu 12th Sep (7:00pm - 8:30pm) Orienteering evening - Endclif
An introduction to orienteering from South Yorkshire Orienteers. The Scouts will learn orienteering basics, including safety, map colours and common symbols, setting a map and completing short courses in small groups.
Could Scouts please meet outside the cafe in Endcliffe Park at 6.50pm for a prompt start at 7pm. Pick up from the cafe at 8.30pm.
Scouts will need a head torch and suitable clothing for the outdoors please. |
Thu 19th Sep (7:00pm - 9:00pm) Outdoor wildlife night
Hi guys
This weeks activity will be a little wander up to carr farm wildlife reserve we will be looking at birds, local flora and fauna and meeting a wildlife officer
The emphasis will be on getting to know our thoughts about nature and how we engage it
Hopefully everyone will enjoy it come along dressed as expected for a night hike at this time of year, including a couple of snacks, drink, torch, waterproofs and strong walking boots no flip flops or crocs soft trainers.
Uniform will just be a necker as there's the good possibility you'll get a bit mucky.
